How to Show Live Guest Check-Ins on Your Event Website

A live check-in counter embedded on your event page builds hype in real time. Here is what it is, how it works, and why it matters.

Picture this: someone is deciding whether to attend your event. They open your event's website. Instead of a static page, they see a live counter: 247 Guests Checked In. The counter ticks up as they watch.

That number does something no copywritten marketing claim can do. It creates real-time social proof.

What a Live Check-In Widget Is

A live check-in widget is a small snippet of code that you embed on any website your event's landing page, a Squarespace site, a link-in-bio page. It connects to your event's check-in data and updates automatically as your security team scans QR codes at the door.

The widget shows one thing: how many guests have checked in. No names, no private data just the count. It updates every 15 seconds without the visitor needing to refresh the page.

Setting It Up

From your event dashboard, navigate to the Notify tab. The widget is auto-created on first visit. Copy the embed snippet a single script tag and paste it into any HTML page. On Squarespace or similar platforms, use an HTML embed block. Setup time: under five minutes.
